Download or Demo Version 1.0 now!

(Nerd)Press is a brand new WordPress theme brought to you by Stu Greenham of DesignWoop.com. This is my very first public WordPress theme and after several months of developing it, I am very delighted to say that version 1.0 is officially available for download right now.

With version 1.0 I have kept things very simple, no plugins needed. Support for Delicious and Twitter feeds is built in and can be setup via the (Nerd)Press Options page in the admin area. I have also built in a popular post section which is by default on the sidebar of the theme, and displays the most popular posts organised by number of comments received. Options to have a custom logo and strapline are also available from the custom options page.

I have used jQuery for several features in my theme which I hope you will enjoy, most noticably, the show/hide comments slider. This feature hides the comments and comments form by default, allowing the user to scroll to the footer and view the information in the three sidebar area's which by default display the users Delicious links, WordPress Categories and Twitter Feeds. If you decide you want to make a comment or simply view past comments, then simply click the show/hide link and the comments and comment form slides down. If you are not a fan of this option, I have added an option in the admin area which disables the jQuery for you.
